Luna Coffee

First coffee in the Juicebox Series 2022. This combination of different varieties (SL28, SL34, Batian & Ruiru 11) was grown and prepared by members of the Barichu Cooperative Society. The latter deliver their ripe cherries to the Karatina station in Nyeri in Kenya. The fruits are pulped and ferment overnight to break down the mucilage. They are then soaked in tanks, then cleaned before being dried on raised beds. In the cup, we obtain notes of forest berries, brown sugar and sweet tomatoes.
